The main purpose of this final qualification work is to determine the place of the political and legal views of M.V. Vishnyak in the history of Russian intellectual life. In this regard, the work presents an attempt to identify the features of his political and legal conceptions, to discern their evolution and compare with the views of his contemporaries. This study is written according to the approaches of "intellectual history", and involves the identification of political, social and religious factors that gave a reason to M.V. Vishnyak to have certain views. The structure of the work consists of an introduction, three sections, a conclusion and a list of used sources and literature. The first chapter is devoted to the origins of the political and legal views of M.V. Vishnyak. It includes the factors that had a decisive influence on the formation of the author's worldview. Vishnyak's fundamental political and legal concepts are examined in the second chapter of the study. Special attention is paid to the idea of a Constituent Assembly, electoral law, minority rights and the author's vision of the state. The third chapter of this work is devoted to Vishnyak's political views. It examines the author's attitude to the revolutionary events in Russia in 1917, his criticism of the February Revolution and the definition of the historical role of October Revolution. A special part of the chapter is devoted to the author's perception of Bolshevism and totalitarianism. The text of the work assumes a number of conclusions, including: (1) the events of 1905 - the main factor that influenced the involvement of Vishnyak in the revolutionary movement; (2) Vishnyak's most important legal concepts were somehow connected with the idea of the Constituent Assembly; (3) The political views of M.V. Vishnyak were based on an implacable struggle against Bolshevism and totalitarianism.
