Year of Graduation: 2021

The paper examines works of Islamic thinkers, in particular of those who lived and created their philosophy in medieval Andalusia. Two main philosophers are considered: Ibn Rushd and Ibn Tufayl. In the paper it is studied why Quran was the big part of Andalusian philosophers and how these authors addressed to the Quranic text as to the argument from authority. It is shown how Andalusian thinkers solve the problem of the relationship between religion and philosophy.
