Methods of Optimization of Network Structure of the Supply Chain

The main line of this research is connected with developing methods for the optimization of supply chain networks. This research solved the main goal to optimize the supply chain network structure drawing on the example of a company called ‘ADM’. The study's objective is to develop models and methods for planning the location of warehouses and distribution centres for a company that works on the construction material and housekeeping equipment markets. The basic subjects of research are methods and models for planning the effective configuration of distribution centres. The research structure is the following: there is an introduction, three chapters, conclusions, a reference list, several additions. The novelty of this research is connected with these things: 1. The relevant Russian and foreign literature connected with finding an effective location of manufacturing and logistics capacity on review and has been summarized for creating the advanced classification of models for optimizing the location of manufacturing and logistics capacity. The structure of the classification is the following: criterion of classification – description. 2. The relevant literature connected with the research for finding out the main logistics troubles of companies from DIY-sector on review has been summarized for creating a table with the classifications of problem having the following structure: a problem – aspect. 3. It’s developed a specific mathematical statement of two-objective task optimization the location of warehouses and attaching delivery regions to warehouses in the supply chain of a company called ‘ADM’.
