This study focuses on the issue of race as a component of the ideological confrontation between the United States and the USSR in the 1950s and 1960s. The main source of this study is American and Soviet periodicals, which contain an assessment of films created in Hollywood from 1950 to 1967. The article deals with the issues of US cultural policy during the Cold War and the role of US racial policy in Soviet propaganda against Pax Americana. In addition, the study examines the trends of American cinema in the 1950s and 1960s. This work is an attempt to define the role of racial politics as a propaganda tool during the Cultural War.
