The Newspaper "Kommersant" as a Historical Source for Studying Social Transformations during the 1990s

The study is devoted to the problem of the potential of the newspaper "Kommersant" both for research and for the construction of a fundamentally new segment of Russian society, the so-called "businessmen". The study is intended to demonstrate how the imaginary reader, for whom the newspaper existed, evolved. First, a summary of the last year's research will be given. it is important to understand the context of the creation and operation of the newspaper. Then a general description of the newspaper will be given and the formation of readers' requests and their change will be traced. The last chapter will be devoted to the transformation of the addressee of messages and his reflection in the newspaper.
