As the company grows, it becomes necessary to track more and more performance indicators both at the top level and indicators reflecting the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Calculation a small number of such indicators manually can be economically justified, but in the presence of dozens of different indicators in several areas of business, it becomes necessary to automate such processes, while it is important to explicitly justify the need for automation for the business, that is, to identify economic feasibility. The work is devoted to the description of the theoretical foundations of controlling in supply chains as an area describing the key performance indicators (KPI) of the company. A comparison of the costs of introducing a system for automatic calculation of performance indicators with the benefits that such a system can bring is presented. Preliminary results of testing such a system on an existing company are also presented. The work consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion and a list of sources.
