One of the most relevant cultural trends is abolishing the social stigma related to the marginalized bodily manifestations. Human body presents major interest in the postmodern cultural paradigm, as well as the subjective experiences of living in a body. Conceptual metaphor is a powerful means to accept the challenge of conceptualizing and communicating the interoceptive experiences. Thus, the use of conceptual metaphor enables the comprehension of deeply personal bodily experiences that are incompatible among different human beings. The object of current research is the phenomenon of subjective bodily experience in modern English-speaking culture. The research subject is the metaphorical means of designating the elements of reality associated with the subjective bodily experience of a person. The aim of the study is to identify, analyze and categorize the main groups of metaphors constituting the metaphorical landscape of subjective bodily experiences. Descriptive and corpora methods were used, as well as methods of continuous sampling and modeling. The research is carried out on the material of modern English language corpora and English-language Internet sources containing the discussion of subjective bodily experiences.
