The Implementation the Japanese Innovation Policy in the 21st Century

This research paper discusses the concept of innovation, national competitiveness, and the relationship between these two concepts and focuses on the example of Japan where despite the high spending on R&D the national competitiveness does not show significant results. It investigates the impact the implementation of the Japanese innovation policy has on its national competitiveness, identifies key challenges, and proposes solutions on how to increase the country's competitive advantage.
