Different Forms of Assessing Critical Thinking Skills

The paper studies the concept “critical thinking skills” and its role in modern education. For the purpose of this study the analysis of the different approaches to developing critical thinking skills at the lessons of English as a foreign language is conducted. Moreover, the levels of critical thinking skills and the criteria of their assessment are determined. More than that, a set of exercises to assess the level of critical thinking skills at the lessons of English as a foreign language is developed.
