The experience of recent decades has shown that a bipartisan system has developed in Taiwan, an important characteristic of which is the turnover of power. Although the very fact of the victory of the Democratic Progressive Party in 2000 was considered a victory of democracy in Taiwan, the new reality required politicians to be more flexible and forward-thinking in the face of both rivals and voters. After suffering a crushing defeat in the 2008 elections, the DPP spent years rebuilding its image and came back to power in 2016. In this study, the author examines the features of shaping the internal political agenda of the Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party in the period 2016-2021.
