Propagandistic Art in USSR in XX Century as the Basis of Creating a Fashion Collection

The project proposal discusses the Soviet propaganda art of the 20th century. It was targeted at addressing the ideological challenges facing the nation's leadership. The major objective of the propaganda art was to form an ideology of a new Soviet man – an atheist, patriot, builder of a socialist society, who is devoted to the ideas of collectivism and proletarian internationalism, observing the «Moral Code of the Builder of Communism». The aim of this project research is to study the Soviet propaganda art of the 20th century, search for ideas, themes, styles and forms for creating a unisex clothing collection. In this work, the author uses propaganda art visual research. He studies the most striking visual sources in the following areas (sections): posters, agit-porcelain, textiles and clothing, painting. The work consists of a theoretical part, prototyping models and tailoring.
