Victimological Factors of Crime and Victimological Prevention

The reduction of the crime rate is always an urgent task for the law enforcement system and society as a whole. At the same time, not only the study of the offender and his characteristics take an important place in the achievement of this task but also the study of the victim herself, her predispositions to commit a crime take it. During the study, the role of the victim, its position in the criminological situation is studied, which is an integral part of understanding the entire mechanism of committing crimes. The social groups of people, who are most susceptible to committing illegal actions against them, are identified. Detailed research of the interaction of the individual set of qualities of the offender and the victim allows us to determine by virtue of which qualities, circumstances, the level of victimization increases. The analysis of the compiled classifications of victims and their behavioral characteristics directly affects the composition of preventive measures, their specific and practical effectiveness.
