Research of Women's National Ingush Costume as the Basis for Creating Women's Fashion Collection

The concept of identity of a nation and its manifestation in the visual culture is an important topic for fashion, often used by designers as a source of inspiration for their collections. The preservation of the culture of minorities has global importance, as well as its rethinking, integrating techniques and values to actualize the legacy of the past. This project proposal explores women's national Ingush costume as a creative source. The findings show that clothing is a visible expression of women's identity, considered in two main names. First, the meaning of Ingush women's clothing and its transformation in the context of historical processes. And second, definitions of terms such as the identity of women at the present stage. The aim of this project was to create a fashion collection, based on traditional Ingush women's costumes and devoted to their actual position. The diploma project consists of sketches of clothing on the model, designed prints, the author's fabric textures, branding suggestions, and as a result, sewn total looks of the collection. The project proposal consists of the introduction, the main part, which includes literature review, methods, realized in the research, results, and the conclusion.
