The process of economic globalization has created the need to improve and optimize procurement management in companies, which necessitates the use of new concepts for the implementation of procurement activities, as well as the development of new strategic directions. This study seeks to more fully understand the value of categorical purchases from the point of view of increasing the efficiency of the company's procurement activities. The paper raises questions related to the specifics of constructing a categorical strategy and the possibilities of applying this approach by subjects of Federal Low № 223. Moreover, in this study the case of the particular company is considered and solutions to the identified problems related to the implementation of procurement activities are offered by implementation of categorical management.
