Circular Procurement and Implementation in Russian Practice

In Russia, as in many other countries, the goal of sustainable development is set. The circular economy concept aims to achieve this goal. The transition from a linear model of the economy to a circular one, aimed at solving global problems, is carried out with the certain tools. Circular procurement is one of the main tools of circular economy. Its implementation leads simultaneously to environmental safety, social justice and economic efficiency. In the paper the implementation of circular principles in procurement in Russian practice is analyzed on the example of procurement in the field of the organization of school meals. The analyses of the regulatory framework for the possibility of using circular principles in procurement is presented, the barriers are identified and measures for the spread of circular procurement in Russia are developed.
