The problem of separate collection of used batteries is one of the most serious problems in Russia, since most of the used batteries are not recycle, but become part of household waste. Despite the fact that there are risks to human health and environmental degradation, there are no effective laws in Russia. Consequently, there is a need to study the attitude of Russia residents to recycling batteries, therefore the purpose of the study is to identify the preferences of the Perm residents in relation to the recycling of used batteries. There are three variants for separate waste collection for individuals - free, when the person pays for change out of his own pocket, and when the person is paid money in exchange for the waste. Based on this, 3 logistic regressions are constructed. The following research question is posed: what factors influence the behavior of the Perm residents regarding the recycling of used batteries? Thus, knowledge about the dangers of batteries and attitude to the environment influences the decision to hand over the battery for free recycling. Income levels have a positive effect on the willingness to recycle a battery if you have to pay for it. At the same time, the level of income negatively affects the willingness to hand over the battery, if in exchange a person receives money.
