The Role of Renewables in the Power Sector of China

This paper examines the role of new renewable energy sources (NRES) in the electric power industry in China. Based on statistical data and government documents, the current situation in the field of wind and solar power plants, the advantages and disadvantages of its use in the country under consideration is analyzed. Regression models are built to reveal the significance of the influence of various factors on the change in the volume of renewable generation of the above two types in the period 2010-2018.
