The aim of this thesis is to study the factors affecting the transfer cost of football players in the Russian Premier League. To conduct an econometric study, data were collected from the Sports.ru portal. The data includes 3 samples for the following roles: defender, midfielder, striker for 2011-2021. For data analysis, we used linear regression, which uses the least squares method. Based on the results of the regression analysis, we were able to identify the factors affecting the transfer value of defenders, midfielders, and forwards. We referred to these factors: weight, height, age, number of yellow and red cards, assists, key passes, tackles, goals scored, penalty kicks, club budget, term of the remaining contract. An interesting result is that goals and tackles affect the defender's transfer value, assists, key passes and skin color influence the midfielder's transfer value, and the red cards influence the forward's transfer value.
