During the pandemic the transition of everyday life including all education processes to online occurred; 2. At the moment the majority of educational establishments have transitioned to the «hybrid» educational format that requires using various online courses; 3. Online education market in Russia is overheated and has the online courses quality problem; 4. The government actively supports digital education through the integration of online platforms with educational materials. Such platforms are used as a support tool for educational activities. The goal of the paper is to formulate conclusions on business process revision and optimization. To achieve the research goal, the following objectives were solved over the course of the work: 1. A comprehensive analysis of the field of study; 2. Choosing a business process modeling methodology; 3. Modeling of a process of developing a new module for an online course «AS IS»; 4. An analysis of the model highlighting the disadvantages; 5. A formation of conclusions on process revision and optimization; 6. Building an optimized model based on previous results. Over the course of this work, the business process of developing a new module for an online course «AS IS» was built, its analysis was done, recommendations for optimization and revision of the process were formulated, and a business process model «TO BE» was built. To optimize and revise the existing process, the following steps were proposed: 1. Empower the Methodist and Educational Designer of an online course with the right to independently approve the basic concept of a new module of an online course following the general plan of the online course; 2. Combine the stages of searching and inviting the Author/Authors of a new module into one stage under the control of the HR department of the company. Also, combine the stages of adding video materials of the new module and summaries to them; 3. Implement the parallel development of theoretical materials and practical assignments; 4. Improve the logic of the process by strengthening its structure. Move the stage of developing a detailed plan for a new module after the selection of the Author/Authors of the module; 5. Improve the process by introducing the stage of searching for Test Experts along with the Author / Authors of the module; 6. Refine the process by introducing new participants (Testing Experts) and two new stages of testing: testing after the development of theoretical materials and practical tasks and testing after adding video materials and notes to them in the online course.
