This study examines the relationship between the indicators describing human capital and the economic growth of the region. The relevance of the topic is explained by the need to search for socio-economic indicators, the development of which will contribute to improving the quality of human capital and economic development. The formation of high-quality human capital will make it possible in the long term to reduce the degree of dependence of the national economy on the exploitation of natural resources and to enter a new, innovative path of development. The aim of the study is to assess the impact of human capital indicators (education, health and culture) on the regional economy. The sample includes information on the indicators of 69 regions of the Russian Federation for 2010-2018. The analyzed database is formed according to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service. The research was conducted using correlation analysis, a linear pooled model, random effect and fixed effect models. The result of the study is to identify those indicators of human capital, the stimulation of which has a positive impact on the economy of the region and contributes to regional development.
