In this study the author specifies the concept of "audiovisual work", enshrined in Art. This study specifies the concept of "audiovisual work" as defined in Article 1263 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, outlining the specifics of a cinematographic work and its key differences from other types of audiovisual works; the circle and legal status of entities participating or capable of participating in the creation and use of a cinematographic work is determined; details the legal treatment of objects of copyright and related rights included in the audiovisual work, as well as the legal regulation of contractual relations arising from the creation and use of cinematographic works between the authors of cinematographic works, the authors and performers of copyright and related rights included in the cinematographic work on the one hand, and the producer on the other.
