The final qualification work is devoted to the analysis of the labor law status of migrants and national workers in modern Russia. The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that migration issues are an important part of the foreign and domestic policy of the Russian Federation. In addition, migration legislation is currently under development and has not yet emerged as a separate branch of law. The purpose of this study is to identify trends and ways of development of labor migration and relevant legislation in modern Russia. The author analyzed the provisions of legislative and other normative legal acts, carried out a historiographic analysis, studied judicial practice and the experience of foreign countries. Structurally, the work is divided into 3 parts: introduction, main part and conclusion. The main body consists of four chapters. The first chapter contains a historiographic analysis that includes several time periods from the Russian Empire at the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. Since the legislative regulation of migration processes is closely related to the activities of the ILO and other international organizations, the second chapter of the study is devoted to foreign experience and international labor law, its impact on Russian legislation. The third chapter of the work is devoted to the analysis of legislation and statistics on the status of migrants and national workers in modern Russian labor law. Chapter 4 is devoted to the current agenda: the migration crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. In these chapters, the author is most interested in legislative trends, a legal response to the current situation in the world. In the final part of the work, conclusions and proposals for reforming the migration legislation in the Russian Federation are presented.
