Individual Labor Disputes with the Participation of Football Players

Sports law has a fairly short history of development. Quite a lot of legal institutions have not been fully formed yet, and there are many gaps in the legal regulation of the industry. In such conditions, the most vulnerable subject of legal relations in the field of physical culture and sports are athletes. Within the framework of this study, it is proposed to study the trends of the further development of the institute for resolving individual labor disputes in the football field, since the practice of resolving labor disputes in this sport is quite extensive and illustrative for forming conclusions about the effectiveness of both Russian and international systems for considering and resolving labor disputes involving athletes. The purpose of the study is to analyze the legislative regulation and law enforcement activities on the issue of resolving individual labor disputes involving football players by Russian and international bodies, as well as to identify areas for improving the existing procedure for resolving this category of disputes. The main objectives of the work: to study the existing forms of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of athletes in the Russian Federation; the study of the system of bodies authorized to consider individual labor disputes involving football players, the analysis of the activities of international and Russian bodies for resolving individual labor disputes of football players, the formulation of conclusions on possible directions for the development of the existing procedure for considering and resolving these disputes. The result of the work is the proposal of several measures aimed at improving the efficiency of resolving individual labor disputes. These measures relate to improving the legal culture of participants in legal relations in the field of physical culture and sports, developing alternative pre-trial methods for resolving individual labor disputes involving football players, actively integrating sports arbitration as a form of dispute resolution into the system of bodies authorized to settle individual labor disputes in the football field, and unifying law enforcement activities in the field of resolving this category of disputes.
