Year of Graduation: 2021

World Class Manufacturing (WCM) has become the gold standard for establishing a manufacturing process. Encompassing a huge part of a company's life, the concept has made it possible not just to increase the organization's productivity, but to strategically build processes of improvement and strengthening as a market player. The concept has also prompted researchers and practitioners to elaborate on specific areas of a company's management, such as logistics and supply chain. The relevance of the study is undeniable: well-built logistics allows the company to be more efficient, cost-effective, faster, flexible than competitors, which is fully consistent with modern conditions. However, at the moment there is no WCM analogue for the whole list of logistic processes. The purpose of this study is to develop the elements of supply chain management strategy, namely the development of strategies to reduce losses in transport and storage operations, as well as the strategy of human capital development of the logistics team. The choice of these elements is due to their unconditional matrix influence on all logistics processes. This study has the potential for further development towards the development of the remaining columns of WCL, as well as the formulation of the fundamental concepts of WCL, which will create the concept of a matrix strategy for supply chain management.
