This work is devoted to the analysis of legal and managerial risks faced by modern sports managers in their work through the prism of labor and sports law. The Russian practice of management in the field of sports, namely human capital management, has not yet passed into the generally accepted investment format, since athletes and their management are of the nature of resource management, which does not assume the uniqueness and investment potential of the employee. Also the paper analyzes the latest practice of the Court of Arbitration for Sport on particularly acute labor-legal and sports issues faced by clubs and professional athletes. In addition, the authors were given an assessment of the current conditions of the labor market, taking into account the investment potential of the objects of this study-clubs, leagues and athletes.
