Letter of Credit Payment Method in Cross-border Trade Transactions

The relevance of the research topic is due to the relative novelty of this form of calculation in the Russian economic space. It is located at the junction of two regulatory systems – domestic and international, as the documents of international non-profit organizations play an important role. At the same time, there is a significant acceleration in the development of practice, while legislative regulation does not keep pace with the emerging relations. The qualifying thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction describes the relevance of the work, the subject, object, and method. The first chapter consists of three paragraphs, which reveal the main elements of the international sale of goods. The second chapter also consists of three paragraphs devoted to the study of the features of the use of the letter of credit form of settlement in international trade transactions. The final third chapter consists of two paragraphs devoted to the peculiarities of the legal regulation of a letter of credit as a form of settlement in international trade transactions. In conclusion, the main conclusions and results obtained during the study of this topic are presented.
