My research focuses on the legal protection of results created by artificial intelligence systems. The purpose of the study is to form a comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of AI rights protection. In addition, I seek to solve the main problems that arise in the application of legislation governing the rights to the results of intellectual activity created by artificial intelligence systems. To achieve the objectives of the study, I intend to analyze domestic and foreign judicial practice and civil legislation. Moreover, I will clarify the legal status of AI and identify the difficulties that will arise in the field of protecting their rights. As for the relevance of the topic of this work, it is determined, firstly, by the sharp development of modern AI technologies and their active use in areas where AI can create potentially protected results of its activities, and secondly, by the need to improve legislation to eliminate significant gaps in legal aspects related to ensuring legal protection and ownership of rights to results created by artificial intelligence systems. In the Russian legal literature, you can find a large number of articles related to the topic of the work, namely, the problems of ownership of rights to the results of work created by artificial intelligence systems. Many of them are the theoretical basis of this study. My research is also based on regulations in Russia and abroad. It also includes various court practices and analytical materials. For a deep analysis of the problem of my research, I reviewed the works of V. N. Sinelnikova, P. M. Morkhat, V. O. Kolyatin, I. A. Filippova, I. A. Bliznet and some other researchers. As the importance of artificial intelligence technologies grows, the legal regulation of issues related to these technologies will be very relevant at the international level in the coming years. Thus, we can say that today, for the formation of legal regulation in relation to artificial intelligence, it is important to develop a common position between the governments of different countries, for which it is necessary to understand and overcome the problems in creating such regulation. The subject of my research is the social relations that arise in the process of protecting the rights to the results of AI activities, as well as the provisions of the legislation of the Russian Federation and a number of foreign countries. To achieve these goals, the following tasks were set::: - to consider topical issues related to the provision of legal protection, as well as the ownership of the results created by AI, within the modern legal field of Russia and foreign countries; - analyze trends and prospects for the development of regulatory regulation of these issues in various legal systems, using the available materials of judicial practice and legal doctrine;;; - to study proposals for the legal regulation of mechanisms for the legal protection of results created by artificial intelligence systems.
