The evaluation of the effectiveness of the antimonopoly authorities allows us to determine how successfully the antimonopoly authority copes with its tasks of countering the abuse of a dominant position, countering agreements that restrict competition, and controlling transactions of economic concentration. Given the variety of models of competitive agencies that are distinguished based on its characteristics, it can be assumed that these characteristics and resources of the agency can affect its performance. In this work, regression analysis methods were used to determine the impact of the agency's characteristics and resources on their effectiveness in the three areas mentioned above. The regression analysis showed that the characteristics and resources of the antimonopoly authority really affect the performance indicators: as a rule, agencies with large budget resources and who have been members of the International Competitive Network for fewer years have high performance. As for the age and number of employees of the authority, their influence is determined by the marginal effect: before a certain age and the presence of a certain number of employees, the impact on performance indicators is negative. The impact of the other characteristics considered on the effectiveness of competition agencies is ambiguous and depends on the direction of activity.
