Video Games Development and Selling During the Coronavirus Crisis

The title of the bachelor's thesis: "Video Games Development and Selling During the Coronavirus Crisis." The relevance of this work lies in the significant changes that the CoViD-19 pandemic has entailed, in the field of digital entertainment. The object of the bachelor's thesis is the indicators of the popularity of common game projects under the restrictions imposed by governments against virus spreading. The subject of the bachelor's thesis is to predict the online activity of players depending on the main mechanics of the game. The purpose of this work was to select a forecast method based on the collected data, create and validate models. The practical significance of the thesis lies in the applicability of the models built in the course of the study to assess project portfolio of a publisher or game developer. The bachelor's thesis consists of an explanatory note of 40 pages, including an introduction on 4 pages, 19 illustrations, a list of 33 sources (including 24 sources in a foreign language) and two annexes on 10 pages. The first chapter is devoted to a review of the literature on the research topic, the study of various forecasting methods and types of models. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the initial data, the choice of the model and the creating of the forecast. The conclusion summarizes the main results and conclusions of the work. The result of the work is data analysis and built predictive models for the selected game projects.
