Factors Contributing to Language Shift in Pridnestrovie

The study is devoted to the features of the language situation in Pridnestrovie. Although three languages, Moldovan, Russian and Ukrainian are official in the republic, Russian actually predominates, which results in language shift. The research looks at the factors that contribute to this process.
