Almost every person sooner or later has a desire to increase their capital or, at least, to protect it from the negative impact of inflation. And investment is one of the best options to do this. Because sometimes the rates on deposits in banks are even lower than the level of inflation in the country. Of course, the behavior of each participant in the investment market is individual. Each investor has a unique set of personal characteristics that influence the model of his behavior when making investment decisions. Thus, taking into account all the circumstances, there are different types of investors in the market, for example, depending on their attitude to risk and the level of potential return on the investment portfolio. It is also worth noting that recently there has been a surge in activity in the investment market both in Russia and around the world as a whole. This phenomenon is caused by various events taking place in the world, and one of the most significant of them is the COVID – 19 pandemic. The main purpose of the work is to study the dependence of the investor's profile risk, followed by the creation of recommendations for investors with different risk attitudes within the framework of investment strategies identified in the market. The methodological basis for the study was the analysis of the works of various economists who investigated the issues concerning the rationality of investor behavior in the market, factors and their impact on investment decision-making, etc. Also, methods of empirical and comparative analysis of various data on the investment market were used to study the problem, including: news analysis, analysis of the dynamics of indicators relative to the clients of the Russian trading system, analysis of analytical reports in order to identify the social portrait of the average modern investor in the Russian market.
