Development of a Tracking System for Analyzing User Behavior in E-commerce

This academic thesis considered the development of a prototype of a tracking system for an online store. The aim of this thesis is to develop a prototype of a system that allows collecting, tracking, and analyzing actions on the website. The goal set in this work implies the need to solve a number of tasks: 1. To explore the features of analytics of user actions, characteristics and tasks of online services; 2. To perform a comparative analysis of existing tracking systems; 3. To identify customer's requirements for the system on the part of the business customer, determine the composition of the collected information and the protocol for interaction with other information systems; 4. To develop the main components of the online store tracking system; 5. To develop an interface for receiving reports on collected data; The object of this work is virtual user behavior. The subject of the research is the development of a system that allows collecting data to analyze virtual user behavior. The first chapter covers the theoretical foundations of the analytics of virtual user behavior. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of online services for tracking user behavior. In the last chapter, based on the analyzed models and existing analytical systems, a prototype of a tracking system with certain attributes for virtual entities was developed, as well as a web interface that displays a report on the collected statistics.
