Psychological Aspects of eSports Competitions

This work is devoted to the study of the influence of psychological factors on the success of the game of e-sportsmen in team competitions. The study also examines the features of e-sports as a modern cultural phenomenon and a type of competition. In the course of a theoretical analysis of the available literature in the field of e-sports psychology, the fact of the influence of psychological factors on the quality of the game of e-sportsmen was confirmed. In the course of an empirical study, which consisted of a phenomenological analysis of the texts of interviews with e-sportsmen, the high significance of psychological influence was confirmed. Special attention was paid to the study of such a phenomenon as tilt. The most frequent emotional reactions, as well as the manifestations of the influence of psychological factors on the state of e-sportsmen, were examined through the prism of the theory of existential analysis. The necessity of a psychologist in cybersport teams was substantiated and practical recommendations for the work of psychologists with e-sportsmen were proposed.
