This paper explores how digitalization processes affect the strategy and tactics of a retailer. In the course of the research, the concept of strategic management and its role in business was considered, the essence of digital transformation of activities was revealed, and the impact of digitalization on the development of the company was studied. The following was a brief description of X5 Retail Group, the strategy and strategic goals of the company. The result of the work is the development of recommendations for improving the company's activities under the influence of digitalization processes and an assessment of their effectiveness.
