Without information and information technology, every single sphere of human life would be inconceivable. The 21st century is when obtaining information about the current situation in the world, country, industry, market or region becomes possible at any moment. The purpose of information technology is "the production of information for its analysis by a person and making a decision on its basis to perform an action". In other words, the use of information and the means of its transformation - information technologies - becomes the basis for making effective management decisions, forecasting and planning in organizations. The Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 13, 2018 No. 208 "On the Strategy of Economic Security of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030" formulates the basic principles of ensuring economic security, some of which are directly related to information technology. Every manager of every commercial enterprise is interested in ensuring a high level of economic security of his business. However, it is important to understand that the provision of such a level consists of numerous factors, one of which is information technology. The higher the level of economic security of an economic entity, the more competitive it is in a constantly changing market, therefore, the study of issues related to information technology, as a factor in ensuring the economic security of an enterprise, is relevant. The activity of any commercial organization is aimed at obtaining maximum profit, therefore, today such parameters as the speed of information processing, the degree of security and efficiency of its use in this process play a decisive role. In this regard, the need for the use of effective and adequate technologies is increasing every day. The aim of the work is to analyze modern methods of collecting, processing, enriching information in the financial sector of the economy.
