Infrastructure of Innovation Activity Support as a Tool of Regional Innovation Development (the Case of St. Petersburg)

Russian and foreign research of the effective innovation development tools define the specific role of the innovation infrastructure as the main innovation economic activity subject. Increasing attention is being paid not to individual innovation organizations but to their interaction with each other in matters of knowledge and technology transfer. The author focuses on the importance of innovation infrastructure objects legislative consolidation, also conducts a research of partnership and inter-firm cooperation of infrastructure organizations using network analysis to assess the degree of innovation objects interconnection in St. Petersburg. Based on the analytical and practical work, recommendations are made to the St. Petersburg executive authorities in matter of the formation and improvement of interaction mechanisms between the innovation infrastructure objects.
