Marriage and romantic relationships are essential parts of human life. This sphere of human life is one of the most appealing and at the same time confusing, controversial and full of unsolved mysteries. The main purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenology of relationships in women with different levels of full functioning. The following methods were used in the study: "Questionnaire of Human Full Functioning" (E.Yu. Vasilevskaya) supplemented by the method of "Assessment of Need for Approval" by D. Crown and D. Marlow (adapted by Y.L. Khanin) as well as "Marriage Satisfaction Questionnaire Test" (MSQ) developed by V.V. Stolin, T.L. Romanova, G.P. Butenko. The study was conducted in a qualitative paradigm based on A. Giorgi's phenomenological approach. The data collection included semi-structured interviews with respondents whose results on the "Questionnaire of Human Full Functioning" (E.Yu. Vasilevskaya) showed low or high level of full functioning. Ten married women aged 24 to 39 took part in the research. The following conclusions were made based on the results of the study: 1. Phenomenology of relationships of women with low level of full functioning differs from phenomenology of relationships of women with high level of full functioning. 2. Traits of personified relationship phenomenology distinguish women with high levels of full functioning. 3. Personalized relationship phenomenology is characteristic of women with low levels of full functioning.
