Detection of Beneficial Owners of Legal Entities on Application of Legislation on Combating Legalization (Laundering) of Income

The purpose of the master's thesis is a comprehensive study of the procedure for establishing the beneficial owners of legal entities in the application of legislation on combating money legalization (laundering) of income. The study of the concept of the beneficial owner, the peculiarities of the existing procedure in Russia for establishing the ultimate beneficial owners of legal entities. The interdisciplinary nature of this concept, features, disadvantages and ways to improve the effectiveness of the existing rules are revealed. Based on the analysis of judicial practice, the identified problems of protecting the rights of beneficial owners in relation to three types of ultimate owners (direct, indirect and hidden) are described.
