Recommendation Development for the Protection of Intellectual Property in Higher Education

The protection of intellectual property objects of higher educational institutions today is extremely relevant, since the intellectual property of the university provides competitive advantages and forms the reputation and image of the university in the eyes of the public. In this final qualifying work, theoretical aspects of intellectual property are considered and presented, based on current legislation; a list of intellectual property objects relevant for higher educational institutions (HEIs) are identified and formed. In this paper, a typical IT infrastructure for universities is considered, and a list of topical threats to information security of intellectual property objects of universities is identified and compiled. Along with that, a list of recommendations for the protection of intellectual property objects in universities is formed.
