The work is devoted to the study of the relationship between the features of the time perspective of the future of young people 20-30 years old and their type of reflection. Based on the conducted empirical research, the presence of a significant (r = -0.373, at p <0.001) negative correlation between introspection and a positive past was proved. Which means that people who tend to get stuck in their thoughts and experiences, not paying attention to those around them, are not inclined to have a positive attitude towards the past. A qualitative analysis of the features of the time perspective of the future of people with predominantly productive and unproductive types of reflection is presented, a classification is proposed, consisting of 4 types, based on various combinations of the considered characteristics, and conclusions are drawn about the specifics of the motivational composition, orientation and length of each of the groups. A new "abstract" type of the time perspective of the future has been identified, mainly consisting of timeless objects.
