We study the methods of spectral analysis of free associative networks. We considered symmetric and asymmetric random matrices with standard normal distributions elements. We have analyzed the properties of free associative networks of English and Russian languages and constructed distributions of the main indicators of a directed weighted graph of presented networks. It is proved that weak connections between words have a significant impact on the mobility and flexibility of the mental lexicon.
