The research topic is relevant today for several reasons. Despite the existence of a diverse number of management methodologies, there are still many unresolved problems in the IT field that require an advanced alternative to the traditional means. Its practical relevance is showcased by the example of the Russian bank (PJSC "Sberbank"). In the course of this study, the reliability concept of the IT portfolio is outlined and its network model is built and visualized. Combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, specifically focused on network metrics, the level of criticality of the IT projects is evaluated. As an outcome, an integral indicator of reliability of the bank's IT portfolio, an integrated approach for assessing the reliability of the IT portfolio, as well as management recommendations are presented. This emphasizes the practical and theoretical significance of this study. The proposed methodology allows to conduct a systematic analysis of the IT portfolio before determining any classic optimization problems. Additionally, it allows to further recognize and avoid management pitfalls.
