The master's work on the topic «The effectiveness of recruiting talent for the technical leadership program» was carried out with the aim of identifying areas and ways to increase efficiency, as well as improving the existing method of selecting candidates for the leadership program for technical specialists in an international technology company that is a leading provider of technologies and services for the energy (oil and gas) industry around the world. As a result of the work, the author clarified the basic concepts in the field of talent selection. For the first time, the definition of effective selection of personnel (talented employees) is given and 7 principles for the selection of talented employees in organizations are formulated. There are three groups of indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the selection of talent rules for the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) have been formed to assess the effectiveness of the selection of talented employees. The work solved a practical problem and tasks set by the company. To solve it, the author formed a database of all candidates participating in the selection for the period from mid-2018 to 2020, which included 3422 questionnaires. A statistical analysis of the obtained database was carried out, correlation coefficients were calculated, the level of significance for all selection criteria for the leadership program was determined, hypotheses were tested and confirmed on key indicators of the effectiveness of the selection of talented employees and the presence of a connection between the parameters of the candidate's assessment during selection and his further employment in the organization. Based on the results obtained, the author proposed several ways to improve the existing methods of selecting talented employees for the leadership program for technical specialists. The results of the graduation research will be useful to market participants looking for effective approaches and methods for selecting talent in an organisation and wishing to improve the efficiency of the organisation as a whole, as well as to company leaders who are just starting to implement the practice of selecting talented employees for leadership programs in the organisation.
