Student: Grigoryan Ara

Supervisor: Alla Sterligova

Faculty: Graduate School of Business

Educational Programme: Business Strategies: Management and Consulting (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The retail world has changed dramatically over the past decade. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic became the driver for development. The advent of the online channel and new complementary digital channels has changed retail business models, retail composition, and consumer behavior. However, at the moment, there is no conceptualization of the transformation of business models in the scientific community, despite the already implemented practices. The current study conceptualizes and systematizes the directions of retail transformation in Russia during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as interprets the modern retail business model in the Osterwalder canvas.
