This master's thesis is a project-research type. The thesis consists of two parts and is written on 99 pages (including appendices), it has 14 tables and 12 figures. Business skills became the most popular area of study in online-education in 2020, according to research results. Russia has entered the top 10 countries in terms of the freelancing market according to the results of the study "Gig - economy 2021" from PwC. Experts interviewed by PwC are confident that the market will continue to grow by 20% for at least the next five years. Therefore, the question of training freelancers, entrepreneurs as relevant as ever. Due to the lack of uniform criteria for the classification of organizations carrying out educational activities in the business segment, there are difficulties with the designation of its boundaries. In addition to education for top management, there is another rapidly growing but little explored area of business education – «entrepreneurship schools». Focusing on it gives the novelty of the thesis. The target audience of these schools is freelancers, SME owners and those who just want to become an entrepreneur. The rapid growth of this area and its social significance led to the choice of company X as the object of research. It operates in the segment of paid private online (and hybrid) business education for entrepreneurs. The subject of the research is its business model. An overview of the essence and approaches to business modeling is carried out in the theoretical part for a deep understanding of the topic. At the moment, the goal of company X is to turn non-paying projects into profit and increase the revenue of the educational directorate from 2020 to 2022 (inclusive) by 10 times. Therefore, the chosen topic is relevant and practically significant for the organization. The proposed solutions to modernize the business model can help it achieve its goals.
