The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Industrial Sector as Exemplified by the SIBUR Holding

Purpose of the work: to compare the compliance of the concept of sustainable development with the strategy of the petrochemical holding SIBUR, taking into account the digital transformation of the business. Work tasks: • Conduct an analysis of sources on the subject of research. • Study the international sustainable development goals set out by the United Nations. • Study the sustainable development strategy developed by the management of the petrochemical holding SIBUR and compare it with the UN sustainable development goals. • Build a strategic map of the company. • Identify indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the company's goals, as well as delineate responsibilities between departments. • Compare the trends in the field of sustainable development and the strategy of SIBUR holding in the framework of digital business transformation. • Understand to what extent the concept of sustainable development corresponds to the goals of the company and how beneficial it is. • To put forward requirements for information support of the sustainable development strategy. • Summarize the research findings. Results of work: • In the course of the study, it was found that the sustainable development strategy of the SIBUR holding corresponds to the global goals of sustainable development and, to one degree or another, covers all three key areas. To a greater extent, the company sets itself tasks to improve the ecological state of the earth, but the circular economy and the company's social responsibility also affect the economic and social component of the UN sustainable development goals. • A strategic map was built. • Indicators for assessing the results of achieving the set goals were identified, as well as those responsible for the result were identified. • An analysis was made of the compliance of the concept of sustainable development with the company's strategy, taking into account the digital transformation of the business. Based on the work, it was identified which aspects of the concept of sustainable development have a positive effect on the company's profit, as well as the requirements for the enterprise management system within the framework of the sustainable development strategy.
