The paper examines the circulation of A. A. Fet in the Soviet school canon. The aim of the work is to reconstruct the perception and reputation of the poet in the Soviet school. To achieve that, the following tasks will be performed: reconstruction of Fet’s circulation in the pre-revolutionary school canon, then the circulation in the Soviet school canon will be reconstructed by analyzing sources such as ministerial programs and educational materials on literature. In addition, an attempt will be made to determine the influence of the political ideology on the perception of Fet's poetry and his personality. The final task will be to identify the factors that contributed to the entry of Fet into the school canon in Soviet Russia and its consolidation in it. The main method of work will be an institutional approach to the analysis of the canon, which will allow us to perform reconstruction and come to the conclusion that Fet, despite his anti-ideologism and anti-democratism, declared by Soviet scholars and teachers, who adopted the view of his poetry from N. A. Dobroliubov and N. G. Chernyshevskii. We can also proclaim that he was fixated in the Soviet school canon and even moved to a modern school, due to a specific thematic range of poems.
