Construction is a major sector of the economy that puts into operation new facilities of industrial and non-industrial significance, as well as deals with their reconstruction and repair. The industry plays a significant role in the development of the country's economy. From 2000 to 2008, the volume of construction work grew from 18 to 20% annually. After the 2008 crisis, the market growth rate has not yet recovered to pre-crisis levels. In addition, the share of construction in the structure of Russia's GDP in 2008 was 6.3%, and by 2019 5.6%. With the onset of the pandemic, the volume of construction work for the first half of 2020 decreased by 0.5%, and the restrictions imposed paralyzed the activities of some companies and put them on the verge of bankruptcy. Based on this, we can conclude that the construction market in Russia is stagnating. Changes in requirements and regulatory standards lead to the fact that in order to successfully continue their activities in the face of a reduction in the volume of work, companies need to optimize their business processes to reduce the loss of time and finance during the implementation of projects.
