Since the late 1970s Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iraq are fighting against Kurdish separatism. The Kurdish separatism have come into existence under the name of PKK in Turkey and Iraq, PYD in Syria and PJAK in Iran. All three organizations are linked to each other and their major organization is called the KCK. Since the beginning of the conflicts in the basis of Kurdish separatism, thousands of people died in the Middle East. In Turkey, more than 14,000 civilians have lost their lives, including civilians, soldiers and policemen. The main aim and ideology of KCK is to establish an independent Kurdistan over the Southeast Turkey, North Syria, North Iraq and Northwest of Iran. Since the beginning of the civil war in Syria, Kurdish separatism have gained its most significant achievements since the beginning of the Kurdish separatist conflicts. With the support of the American army, PYD gained the control of a huge territory in the north of Syria, near borders of Turkey. As fighting against Kurdish separatism, PYD’s territorial gains are being considered as a serious threat to its own national security by Turkey. PYD’s declaration for autonomy or independence will cause a serious threat to Turkey’s territorial integrity. In this MA Thesis, it will be analyzed the possible outcomes of establishment of a Kurdish state in the Middle East.
