Internal communications are undoubtedly an integral part of the corporate governance of any company. This final qualification paper is devoted to the study of trends in modern internal communications. Some experts consider internal communications to be a simple one-way type of communication from management to subordinates, but current trends suggest that two-way communication is necessary. Also in the last year there has been an active move to the online space due to the mass move to telecommuting because of COVID-19, where two-way communication is particularly necessary. The research will highlight the features and new methods of internal corporate communications during the coronavirus; analyze and identify the differences between the two types of internal communications: one-way and two-way communications, and give a number of recommendations for Russian companies, which can be used in practice. Hypotheses about the presence or absence of a correlation between the level of employee engagement and the chosen type of communications will be confirmed or disproved, thanks to an online survey and a series of interviews with experts in the field of HR and internal communications. The work is divided into three chapters: the first chapter about the process of internal communication in organisations, characteristics of internal corporate communication and communication theories, the second chapter is about communication approaches to internal communication (unidirectional and bidirectional communication), the third chapter is empirical, as well as recommendations and conclusions about the work done.
